Testamonies

We wanted our retirement home to be something very special, a place for the two of us to simply enjoy a glass of wine relaxing in front of the fire.  We wanted a cozy atmosphere to casually entertain friends and family and yet have the same space suitable for evening entertainment.  Quite a task to achieve in a small retirement home!

After consulting with several contracting firms, pouring over numerous plans, making revision after revision we still had not found the right ‘fit” for us and were becoming rather doubtful that we would ever achieve our vision. 

At last an independent contractor came along, very similar to a one-man-band that not only listened to our imaginings but also, through his artistic flare, was able to embellish upon our ideas, creating an entertainment area that meets all of our expectations.

Mr. Wayne Ackerblom is truly a man of many talents.  His creativity with tile design transformed a simple kitchen into a warm gathering place for family and friends, transformed a “rough” bath into a work of art and, with just a few wall transformations fashioned a wonderful living space that, to our amazement, satisfies all of our needs.

Using his magnificent feel for design, Mr. Akerblom made it possible for us to achieve our vision, a home we are proud to open for all to enjoy, a home that is a reflection of who we are.
