In my youth I learn my skills from working with some of the best in their trades. While remodeling and restoring historic homes and buildings, I learned the skills that would change my life… the beauty of how one can take a piece of wood and turn it into what, to me, is a work of art. I take pride in all I do, from replacing a simple door to making a stair case stand out and accent your home and all in between.
My work is not standard, run of the mill restoration. I enjoy adding extra, unique, artistic touches that will give your home that special appeal. For example, creating unique designs with tile in floors, bathrooms, kitchens and patios.
Through the years I have heard of nightmares of so called contractors who work without pride or at least minimal skills. This more than anything gets under my skin. I have seen it all around, even within my own family. My mother-in-law had some repairs done on a patio/deck. The person replaced the decking with fencing material. It was so unsafe I had to replace it before a bad accident occurred. A “so called” trellis was also built with what was supposed to be 1st grade lumber. That, too, had to be redone completely.
